1972

This piece unfolds the question, "What is HOME ?"

 

1972 was a pivotal year for me as we left Milwaukee and moved to a very rural area outside of Mukwonago. I started a new school at the beginning of second grade when the social hierarchy of the classroom had already been well established the year prior.  This was when I truly became a satellite.

Orbiting a classroom where the kids saw me as a weirdo, and the adults saw no value in me.  But a 7 year old, who has few points of reference for life, doesn't know any better.
