New Rules
Due to our family’s limited resources, we rarely got new board games to play. What we did have came from garage sales and thrift stores. The odds of these games missing pieces and/or instructions were pretty good.
The same went for puzzles.
As incomplete as they were, most were relegated to the toy closet and remained unplayed…as a family of busy bodies, anyhow, we really didn’t have the attention span for proper board games.
I reimagine a childhood where rogue game play would be encouraged. We would make new rules and Frankenstein games together to create melodramatic vignettes and chaos scenarios.
